We aren’t resting until ICE is out of MN. We aren’t stopping until ICE is completely abolished. They want us to bend the knee so they can continue separating families, but we won’t be doing that. We’re going to win, and it’s bc of the resiliency of our neighbors.

Minneapolis council member Chavez: We are not going to rest until ICE operation ends
While DHS said that it removed about 700 agents from the 3,000 that were in the state last week, Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez says he hasn’t seen much change on the ground.

I love this so very much. 😍
Another resistance quilt finished this week. The eye is my own design, the letters are a fpp pattern by QuiltByNight, the rounded corners and black binding are meant to resemble the phones we the people are using to document the horrors and disprove the government’s lies about what they are doing.

Just had my first square meal in eight days
and while I had appetite and it felt good,
my body's sort of
"What's this? Huh?"

(At least I got three pounds of weight loss outta this nasty, nasty illness)

Good morning. Happy Monday. Minneapolis is still under federal occupation and thousands of my neighbors are still afraid of leaving their homes. Nothing has changed.

Families in hiding and defiant observers: What it’s like in Minneapolis in wake of Bovino’s exit and immigration ‘draw down’ | CNN

This is exactly correct

The tools have some very focused utility

Their limited applications will NEVER justify investing 2% of GDP (!!) for smol ROI
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

This is Minneapolis

The grandmas* are using their birthdays as fundraisers to get extended family to donate $ to help their grandkids’ classmates with needs (rent, food) under federal occupation.

I worried about what hostile foreign nations would do during T2

But they don't need bombs
They don't need tariffs or embargoes

All they have to do is whisper to the rest of the world....

When I was a kid, the super bowl ads were all beer, cola, and Doritos. Then it was dot-coms. A couple years ago it was all crypto. This year is all AI slop, surveillance, and online betting. What a grim reflection of the world the tech oligarchs have wrought.

We can build a world where being in a gambling ad is just as cringe as being in a crypto ad was a few super bowls ago.

NFT, crypto, sports betting, polymarket. It's all the same grift, and everyone associated with it deserves unending mockery at the very least.
