Very sad to hear of Skye Gyngell’s passing today. Her cooking has inspired me for years and her books remain a trusted reference. Her seasonal approach and distinctive style made her extraordinary. She will be missed. #SkyeGyngell

Briefly stopped by the allotment this morning and spotted a twin spider web strung with raindrops across the gate railings. At 8°C the chill made each bead stand out, a small reminder of how sharp the morning can be this time of year. #allotment 🕸️🕷️ྀི

Just bottled a batch of Meeta's spicy ketchup, after her prompt to put my San Marzanos to good use. Paired it with duck fat fries for a crisp, golden match. Warm heat, not a burn. Pleased with how the shot turned out too; the sauce glows like late summer. #KitchenGarden 🍜🍽️ 🌶️

Tried a new sourdough recipe with my favourite regenerative flour. One angled score gave a bold ear and a rustic rise. Sliced it later and the loaf had a surprise in store. #Sourdough

A year ago this soil was spent. I've worked in compost made from seaweed, chicken and cow manure, oak leaves and bracken. Now it’s rich, organic and full of life. It’s taken time, but it’s ready. Looking forward to planting into it next spring. #homestead 🚜🌾👨‍🌾🌿

Germany’s rediscovering mushroom foraging 🍄‍🟫🍄. Something we already do when the season turns. It’s not a trend, just a way of paying attention to the forest again. #foraging #vegansky

Spent the weekend building a new fence and gate for the kitchen garden allotment - bit of help from friends, an old goat pen gate and salvaged wood. Soaked to the skin by the end, but a rainbow turned up as if to say - well done. Quite pleased with it. #KitchenGarden 👩‍🍳🍃 ‧₊˚🌈

The European Parliament wants to stop plant-based foods from using words like “burger” or “steak.” Farmers call it protection, critics call it pointless. The proposal still needs full EU approval before it can become law. #PlantBased #VeganSky #EU
‘Veggie burgers’ could be off EU menu as MEPs back renaming plant-based foods
Proponents say move would strengthen position of farmers in supply chain but critics dismiss it as ‘hotdog populism’
