A reminder of this delicious recipe of you somehow have too much cheese left that is on its last legs...
Here's a recipe that was born out of leftovers but which we now buy ingredients specifically to make:

Freezer tub of the chilli Pete made in the 30th, old school in tortilla wraps with crunchy cucumber, cheese, for cream. Takes me back to childhood.

Bruschetta - winter tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, pinch of salt. On toasted sourdough. Perfect lunch for first day back at work (from home).

Gave myself a rotator cuff injury by putting on a cardigan. 👀
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Rice
Pasta
Potatoes
Bread

When I tried low carb for a few months, it really crystallised that I'm far more into rice and noodles (which I include in pasta) than potatoes or bread. Bread was easiest to give up, rice almost impossible! I guess my Asian genetics are somewhat activated after all!
10. Rank these carbs from best to worst: potatoes, rice, pasta and bread.

Have you heard about NHS insourcing? It’s basically allowing private companies to use NHS facilities, equipment and staff to run a medical business and make millions. While framing it as helping reduce waiting lists.
I think this is the most mind-boggling form of NHS privatisation right now - and hardly anyone knows about it🚨

Thankful I have only 2 meetings today, am still full of snot and the sudacrem makes it look like I'm trying to whiteface all around my nose.

I shared a bunch of recipes during the Lost Days of pre- and post-Christmas. ICYMI
It's the time of the year when I share recipes from Kavey Eats that I think work well for Christmas! First up, my mum's tandoori roast leg of lamb. We have it with the usual British Christmas dinner sides and trimmings!

Am a bit bummed not to go out for lunch yesterday or today before returning to work but am way too full of snot and sleepiness for it to be feasible, plus don't want to spread my germs.

So Pete's just suggested we have a Matsudai ramen kit from the freezer for lunch! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

I was putting together a short reading list for my students on genAI in education and there was a comment in this article that really resonated with me for a few reasons. It's a long comment, but it closes with "Using AI in school is like using a forklift at the gym."

I'm so full of crappy cold today that I've spent most of the day doing 3 things: blowing my nose (which is producing gallons), sleeping, and repeatedly reapplying sudacrem to my nostrils!

But I did just have leftovers of mum's chicken curry that she sent us home with for dinner and it was so good!
