Cute Xmas cups from #caffenero best thing about this coffee. I ordered the seasonal blend which was a disappointing cup of bitter and aroma free coffee. Easily could have been better, expected it to be at least drinkable.

Whether or not this jacket is real or AI, it’s a fun idea. #beerjacket

I'm breaking my ban on reposting Substack content because this piece by Rukmini Iyer about a disgusting attempt by a Cornish deli chain to sue Yasmin Khan needs to be publicized. Yasmin is sui generis and doesn't need to copy anybody!

Thanks to this tech nerd, he worked out that his robo vacuum had a line of code that lets them spy on your home. And a line of code that lets them disable your device if you block transmission of personal data. 😱

If you’re not watching Pilgrimage on Bbc2, add it to your list. It’s a sort of travel show but includes the message and learnings of how a group of multi faith people learn to understand each other’s beliefs and what the transformations.

How to deter tourists and alienate your neighbours. I was a bit worried walking through this area. Will stick to cosmopolitan cities.

My weekend reading is this delightful cookbook by Jocasta Innes, The pauper’s Cookbook. Written in 1971 and updated and revised in 2003. The name was a sort of 70’s joke but there’s no denying that the recipes will suit the current cost of living crisis. Some might be frugal but it’s not basic.

Never knew this. Humans used to sleep naturally in 2 sessions. So waking up at 2-3 am is natural, not insomnia. All the melatonin peddlers must be fuming.
In fall and spring, I fall into a biphasic sleep pattern without trying for 3-4 weeks.

It’s historic, biological, and you’re not a freak if it happens to you too.

I am crashing now, won’t fight it. I’ll probably wake up at 1, clean the kitchen, watch a show, back to sleep. 🤷‍♀️
The forgotten medieval habit of 'two sleeps'
For millennia, people slept in two shifts – once in the evening, and once in the morning. But why? And how did the habit disappear?

That Hyundai raid is going to do wonders for diplomatic relations, not just for South Korea but all of Asia. And bye bye foreign investment.
