Woman with legal status taken from her family home in St Paul by ICE, flown to Texas, held for two weeks before being ordered released by a judge. She lost her job. She's afraid to go outside because agents keep coming to her home.

After ICE release St. Paul woman, she says agents keep returning to her home
Thi Dua Vang legally came to the U.S. two years ago. So when ICE showed up, she thought it must have been a mistake.

What real heroism looks like is you drive past a school and it’s 7am and it’s -3 out and there are four dads posted at every door scanning every passing car to be sure it’s not someone coming to take the children. And you drive by at noon and they’re there. And you drive by at 3pm and they’re there
Anyway the real heroes of Minnesota are the countless volunteers doing boring shifts where nothing happens. The mom of three delivering food to 40 families in her kids’ school. The dad standing at the door of an elementary with a whistle for hours. The drivers endlessly looping, seeing nothing.

"The third woman said federal agents at her hotel are subsisting on microwavable bowls of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, because it’s become so difficult for them to find restaurants willing to serve them.”
I visited hotels all over Minneapolis, went into back rooms & talked to the staff.

They're afraid.

One told me she resents how her undocumented coworkers spend their days cleaning the rooms of agents who are “hunting down their family members.”

Minneapolis’ Hotel Workers Are on Edge
Staff across the city told NOTUS how their lives have changed since the start of the federal immigration operation. “It's frightening,” one said.

Not a judgment and IDK how you overcome it but...it's striking that every time a fresh national news story drops about ICE in the Twin Cities (ProPublica today), a lot of people respond with "Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad" and everyone in MN goes "Yes and it's a hundred times worse"

One of the hardest parts of just getting to a big ride can be just getting there. And will you know anybody when you arrive?!

Let's ride there together and ease each other in and arrive with friends to honor Alex and all those harmed and murdered by ICE.

This ride will be epic.
With friends from @joyfulridersclub.bsky.social a few of our Twin Cities staff will be doing a Ride-to-the-Ride from Brackett Park to Washburn Fair Oaks Park.

Meet @ Brackett ~noon, we'll have some pastries from a local immigrant owned bakery & coffee.

@12:30 we'll ride to the main ride event

This morning I had laughs over coffee with a neighbor who created a custom Rebel Loon buttons for our local school observer volunteers. Later on, I met up with another friend at the same coffee shop, and we put started brainstorming on something that we hope will make people smile. #MutualJoy

What if we treated joy as a public good? Mutual Joy is a neighborhood movement building community through shared delight and collective well-being. What is one small thing that brought you joy in your neighborhood today? #MutualJoy

So, first they ramped up kidnappings and beatings to distract you from the Epstein Files.

Then, they realized how bad the optics were for them on that.

Now, they’re releasing more Epstein Files to distract you from their distraction.

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

But I haven't seen any posts from my (fairly online) friend in Iran in three weeks and I have no idea if he's even alive
"As many as 30,000 people could have been killed in the streets of Iran on Jan. 8 and 9 alone, two senior officials of the country’s Ministry of Health told TIME—indicating a dramatic surge in the death toll."
