I think the most emotional part of that whole memorial ceremony was when the president of the United States said how much he hated his political opponents and how the dead guy he was supposed to be talking about loved tariffs

Oh and then Stephen Miller giving a Joseph Goebbels speech that was weird

Economic policy should not sound like the Hokey Pokey: “You put the tariffs on, you take the tariffs off…”

This. The eternal quest for the elusive white blue collar male vote. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory over and over and learning nothing
oh my god im so tired of saying it, but there are no votes to be found in the center. every vote democrats need to win lies with people who don’t believe that the system can do anything for them.

they need a reason to show up and it isn’t going to be a status quo centrist with the same ol bs

As of today, a new term has entered our language. A “rubio” is a spineless lump of nothing. Example: Don’t be such a rubio.

I love The Weekend panel but losing Joy Reid??!! Sad news
This is a terrible move @msnbc.com. Terrible. The @joy.msnbc.com was a critical part of the evening line-up and @joyannreid.bsky.social brings trenchant political analysis that no one else in the evening line-up has brought. I urge you to reconsider this. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/23/b...
MSNBC Cancels Joy Reid’s Show in Major Shake-Up (Gift Article)
Ms. Reid’s 7 p.m. program will be replaced by a panel show co-hosted by Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele.

Gah!
The part of George Orwell’s 1984 that everyone forgets is how the music and publishing industries have been replaced by a machine that spits out songs and bad novels “without any human intervention.” The goal is to keep you from ever having to think.

Is there anything more useless than a doctor telling you to de-stress? Like does anyone ever say, “Oh damn, I didn’t know stress was bad for me, but now that I know, I’ll stop doing it.”

Bison should be allowed to roam free and cattle should be restricted to private land.
All abandoned barbed wire should be removed from public land.
The money today being wasted on public lands grazing should go into building wildlife overpasses and installing wildlife safe guide fencing.
