“40% of Americans don’t receive social security or Medicare. That’s billions of dollars flowing for people who don’t even use the system”
Same thing. Fucking idiot doesn’t understand how it works and they still trusted him to call a vote to save the program.

Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage
In all their horror you can’t deny them their ability to congeal into one immovable mass. They are all “all in” on what their leadership demands or they are OUT.
Like a fascist regime..or something.
Dems not so much.
There will be no passage of ACA subsidies because they’ve been told no.

They are never getting ACA subsidies through The House. Johnson is refusing to swear representative in! He’s never bringing a vote on ACA subsidies.

This is so bad when you consider how the entire party talking point was “stick to healthcare” and the success of Tuesday it makes me wonder what threat they are folding to.

democratic voters wanted their party to shut down the government for myriad reasons — troops in american cities, masked thugs ripping families apart — but dem leaders insisted the wise thing to do politically was to stay hyper-fxated on this one thing, ACA tax credits. and then they just… gave up

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

In a normal democracy, a total collapse of party leadership would result in an no-confidence vote and immediate snap elections to find leaders who can lead

Schumer voting no means one of two things
He knows this is a horrible deal that betrays the base and doesn’t want to be tied to it-
He has no control of the caucus
Either way he’s gotta go
Horrible example of leadership

The Dems up for election all voted no if I’m not mistaking. To me that means the party leadership knows this is a bad deal with horrible outcomes for the American people.
For Jon Cornyn to be the holdout vote (he’s up for a reelection fight) should tell us a lot.

The Senate came to a deal. This deal excludes any ACA extensions in lieu of a vote on it as a standalone bill in December. Part of me understands highlighting Republicans refusal and forcing them to explicitly vote no on that but the other part doesn’t trust they’ll ever bring it to a vote.

I’m gonna say an old white man comment and I’m ok with it.
The current black street culture fashion being influenced by early punk for the last 5+ years is pretty cool. It may not be everywhere but it sure is here in Atlanta.

This weekend “Christy” is getting its wide release. I haven’t yet seen the film but I am VERY excited to view it for more than one reason.
First, Christy Martins story is..it’s..it’s worth telling. And who she is today is a testament to how strong her heart, her mind, and fists are.

And Indianapolis it appears as well.
But per this article, the main hub the administration uses is in Alexandria because there lives a friendly court and ICE can expedite the deportations. Expect the warehousing there FOR SURE.

The article states that the warehouses being considered are in close proximity to the airports ICE uses for its deportation flights.
Alexandria, Louisiana
Mesa Arizona
San Antonio and Brownsville, Texas
Miami, Florida
What we’ve seen as yet is just the warmup.

Global economies once ran on a pegged price of gold.
One ounce= blah blah blah
After the Great Depression America convinced the western world to peg gold to the dollar, and we would hold the gold for their treasuries.
Well, we ran out of their gold in the 70s and Nixon told the world tough luck.

Here’s the empty upper fuel setup. The yellow is the turbo compressor outlet (top one) and the intake were the pressurized air goes into the block. I had a leak at the upper so let’s see if I fixed it. Blue is the mechanical fuel pump, thankfully didn’t need to touch it. Red is the fuel line.

Took apart the upper fuel assembly in my f250 today. Noticed a fuel leak yesterday so I spent a feverish evening watching videos for how to diagnose and disassemble the setup. Here’s what I learned.
When I peeped in there yesterday I saw separate pools of diesel on the top of the engine block.

It’s fucking insane that millions of Americans are without pay for more than a month
We are closing our airspace for the first nonwar reason
Our military is starving
Opposition election wins are being ignored
All because they wanna hide the Epstein files and what they say about Trump.

If you’ve ever wondered how people could vote for him, take the way you feel when Zohran talks about affordability and equality and that’s EXACTLY how they feel when he wears his bigotry with impunity and attacks the people they have been trained to hate.
