How can people honestly be expected to give a damn about each other if they’re all this isolated? The only exposure to new ideas they get is when they’re grilled online or in real life for their misconceptions. And the cycle only perpetuates.

If you ask me, social media is to blame. Everyone has everyone else at the tips of their fingers, yet never felt more alone. It’s no wonder extremist thinking took off. No matter what you believe, there’s a homogenous group waiting for you with a smile and open arms. Little cults everywhere.
