Don't accept penitent words: only penitent actions. If conservatives want to be let back into human society they all owe us a lifetime in service of repairing the damage they have done and the lives are destroying. You want redemption? Prove that you aren't an irredeemable piece of shit.

The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

The same people who spent the last 4 years arguing that Russian expansionism is not a problem, and that Ukraine being invaded was the fault of the West, are now arguing the US must take Greenland by force to stop… Russian expansionism.

It is astonishing how dumb their supporters are.

Okay seriously, this how normal people start thinking shooting authority figures is a reasonable solution to their problems. These guys’ bosses have to be hoping this will trigger real violence.
This video shows ICE holding children hostage to bait parents out of their homes.

Just unspeakable levels of cruelty and inhumanity.

Notably this is entirely meaningless in any context except invasion. If Denmark/Greenland were to *consent* to US occupation for any reason, no other country would have any say in the matter; the only situation they would need to "go along with" is an unopposed invasion.

It is important to remember this.

My ballots are printed and distributed by my *county* and the worse things get the more those folks at the county offices will become defiant.

Do not obey in advance!
the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

IF the claim is even true + Ross was, in actual fact, bruised, there should be medical records to support the veracity of the claim that he was bruised

however, that's 1) not evidence he was bruised by the car and 2) here's the important part, a bruise on his torso doesn't excuse the murder.

If every single journalist doesn't immediately jump to "Mr President, how do you respond to Mike Johnson telling the nation you haven't thought through your credit card plan?"...
Mike Johnson: One of the things the president probably had not thought through is when you bring interest rates down to 10% the problem is that the credit card companies would just stop lending money
