I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

If you think this won’t happen in Canada…Alberta's Mental Health and Addictions Minister Dan Williams attends anti choice events & sponsored bill 207 in 2019 which would allow Drs to refuse services they disagree with, like abortions. UCP’s opt in sex ed will mean more kids are vulnerable to CSA.
In 2023, six children under 12 were among at least 100 minors who had to leave Texas to have abortions.

During the 11 years I was unschooled I went for daily morning walks with my sister, mom, grandparents, chosen fam and dogs in all weather. Here’s some snow capped yarrow I found this evening. It’s -25 C and there’s no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing.
