Harm reduction hadn’t been allowed to reach far enough - even now, dehumanization of people who use drugs as “zombies” is mainstream.
People were so uninformed, framing the crisis around “addiction” — then profiting from it — was easy.

Epstein got away with all of this in part because there were whole structures in place to facilitate what he was doing. He did not invent them. He just knew how to work them.

The difference between a UCP deficit and an NDP deficit is that with the NDP the money would've been spent on healthcare, education and making life better for Albertans
