Not much to say today just this.

I am a victim of abuse, and I am still being abused.

I am secure and safe for now but I have no safe space to land in, no safe house to go to and so I stay. Mind you this is not about anyone I am living with, I live alone and that's a part of the abuse.

Um … ventricular fibrillation has an out-of-hospital survival rate of (*checks Wikipedia*) 17%? As in 1 in 6? With the other five passing on?

"Falling and hitting his face" after a "flare-up" dramatically underplays this.

We struggled to get Beatrix/Bunlith to render properly due to the shows limited color range, so we decided to embrace the 'crushed blacks' problem and gave void a 100% blackout shader and focus purely on silhouette

It's Trans Awareness Week this week, so loads of pages that don't usually mention trans people much will probably be posting something vaguely supportive.

If you can face it, maybe take a minute to comment something positive when you see this.

Don't let the organised anti-trans comments dominate.

It turns out that if you're a nice place to live and a productive place to work, rich people are willing to pay a little more to live there.
Which is convenient, because then you can make it even nicer and more productive.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

One-third of American museums have lost government grants or contracts since Trump took office, according to a new survey by the American Alliance of Museums.

This is all part of a larger plan by Trump — one where he can control not just what we do, but what we think.

Masking is never just behaviour.

It’s architecture that keeps us safe.

Built on shitty foundations.

A whole nervous system built to survive disapproval.

That’s why unmasking often feels like demolition - not liberation.

But only at first.

Rebuilding is liberation.

For many of us, boundaries were never modelled in healthy ways.

We were often told that having needs made us selfish or difficult.

We learned that to be accepted, we had to adapt, accommodate, and absorb.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

As workers face frozen salaries, inflation and fear of layoffs, some are taking on side jobs to bring in additional income and provide a backup plan should they find themselves out of work, or adding second, third and sometimes fourth jobs.

Nobody should have to do this!!!

more or less why I am convinced we need the socialists because the dem party, as it is constituted, seems pretty unwilling to see this through lol.
something I've been thinking about if/when we retake power is we're really going to need to shock & awe the elites with accountability. hit em hard and fast. gotta break the entire system and don't give it time to regroup.
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

If there's anything that recent events have shown us, it's that wealthy elites confess to or implicate themselves in crimes casually and constantly because they cannot fathom experiencing consequences.
Which means if we really tried to investigate and prosecute them, convictions would be easy.
