Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Food pantries are often inaccessible to Autistic ppl & other Disabled ppl
Bus lines sometimes aren't near them
Disability can dictate what food you can eat
Often in food pantries you don't have much choice, unlike SNAP

Who knew saying “no one deserves to starve” would be so controversial.
I’ve never received this much hate for an article.
Folks are really comfortable saying with their full chest that they’re fine if certain people starve.
The disabled. Poor kids. Marginalized people. Immigrants. The elderly.

SNAP funding is set to expire at the end of the month, meaning 42 million Americans will go hungry. A large percentage of those on SNAP are disabled, and many won't be able to stand in a bread line.

I just saw someone arguing that people doing the "grocery buddy" thing where they buy groceries for a family affected by SNAP cuts are ... "just trying to make themselves feel good" and they really should donate to food banks instead.

SNAP is not just for the unemployed.
It’s for anyone who’s living below the poverty line, which sadly includes a lot of people who are working full time jobs.
But here’s the thing… even if it were “just” for the unemployed… they still deserve food!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, there’s absolutely no need to RSVP for a protest. The list being compiled will eventually be for sale. Do not, I repeat do not place your name on any list. It will eventually fall into the hands of someone for retribution.
