If you have a pt that's screaming and not communicating, consider turning the lights down and making it as quiet as possible. It could be that they are severely overwhelmed by all the normal sensory input PLUS severe pain and change of routine/ having no control of what's happening
Yrs ago I was hospitalized w/a very painful condition & was in a shared room which was loud & bright & lost my ability to talk & had a severe autistic meltdown due to the pain+sound+lights. I was treated sooo badly. It makes me so worried for higher support needs Autistic ppl in hospitals 💔

Republicans will never do anything to help Disabled ppl live longer bc their entire platform is based on assigning value to those who generate the most wealth for those at the top, and if you have ANYTHING in the way of that (kids, Disability, caretaking) you have less value to them.

In other news we started beating everybody who wore red & we passed laws that said we will no longer sell red clothing, even if you need red clothing for medical reasons, & we spent years crafting a campaign of terror against anybody who wore anything red. Now no one wears red for some odd reason 🤷

When I see christians not caring about babies and young kids I remember that I was taught that if a child dies young enough they automatically go to heaven and I wonder if they think it's better for a child to die than grow up atheist/Muslim/ a race they don't like.
