Thank you! I love nuthatches too. I saw a Pygmy Nuthatch for the first time ever a few months ago in July, and I completely was NOT expecting it. Their little squeaky-toy noises are almost too cute to handle. 😍

My mom and I took a trip to San Diego this last November, and the Acorn Woodpeckers were such a delight!! We could not get over how cute and sociable they were. 🥰

A pair of pompom Acorn Woodpeckers. Why two? Because this species is gregarious and doesn't like to be alone. 😊

Here's the nuthatch. I'll put the woodpeckers in the next reply.

I hadn't heard about the boycott! That's great news!
My joy today was celebrating my mom's birthday. I made her a couple of Acorn Woodpeckers and a Pygmy Nuthatch out of pompoms since we both love birds, and her delighted reaction absolutely made my day.

Sat on a bed in a mattress store and dislocated my kneecap from the act of sitting down wrong. Had to have surgery to fix it; knee hasn't been the same ever since. (It's been 12 years 🫠)

Holy crap. This is incredibly realistic!! I am in awe of your needle-felting skills.

A very understandable reason to be upset, when he has to walk on it with his bare paws! ;)

That is just such a shitty way to treat their human translators.

I was able to go on trips to several other states and see a lot of cool wildlife. Birds were generally the main focus, but I also enjoyed snakes, frogs, butterflies, dolphins, and bighorn sheep!

I have read the Ballad of Curly before, but it's such a delightful story that of course I must read it again. 🥰

Ooooooof. I have experienced similar pain, since my cat Marcos barfs a lot and often in the WORST places. In my last apartment, he threw up on top of the cable box and ruined it. No more cable TV for me. 😞

Om nom nom nom, that looks delicious!

Mass protest idea: nobody visit any of the national parks on Trump's birthday. A one-day boycott.

That can NOT be pleasant for the emu. Poor bird has no protection from rain, mosquitoes, sunburn, or anything.

Good grief, that's INFURIATING. 🤬
