I love to see the endoplasmic reticulum (ER, cyan) hitchhiking over microtubules (MTs, orange).

Also the membrane dynamics are lovely.

It's been a while, but here we are for a late #fluorescencefriday with some #microscopy

I’m happy to share some plugins I’ve been developping this summer: "Channels and Contrast" and LUTs Manager!
I can’t find new bugs and ideas by now so I need your help to please test them in your machines and report bugs, feedbacks and ideas! forum.image.sc/t/looking-fo...

Finally! My PhD work is out in @jcb.org ❤️ thanks to everyone involved. It was a long way to this, but it was worth it.
Aceitón, Riobó, Del Valle Batalla, Yuseff et al show that B cells respond to mechanical cues at the immune synapse through ATAT1-dependent microtubule acetylation to coordinate cytoskeletal dynamics & lysosome positioning, enhancing antigen extraction and presentation rupress.org/jcb/article/...

🧵 Scientific American coined the phrase "mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell" in 1957—and this year, we proposed a new idea: that mitochondria are more like a motherboard.

Writing, making mistakes during writing and correcting those mistakes (through feedback, labmeetings, and personal interaction) is fundamental to achieving not only "good quality" science, but also for getting to know yourself as a scientist. Writing reflects your inner thoughts.
This is so upsetting. Outsourcing writing does not "free up time to do more science" it's just a step further toward becoming the CSO at the top of a managerial pyramid rather than being a scientist
