Classicist, writer, that sort of stuff. Currently teaching Latin to the youth. Yes, my dog's name is Adverb.
Today's adventure with autocorrupt: repeatedly having to change "upload" back to what I actually typed, "Iliad".

Quite suddenly realized that "the waitress is practicing politics" does not mean the only woman in Piano Man is passing out fliers for her city council run, or circulating a worker protections petition, or trying to discuss the Communist Manifesto with the stoned businessmen.

Sleepily dragging myself through the morning routine, contemplating how to fit an introduction to substantives into this month when I'm already introducing the subjunctive, and wondering when I'll ever have time for research again.

Autism question! Does anyone have any good links/resources for, like, what to *do* when you're diagnosed autistic? How to examine your thinking/beliefs, work out what masking is, learn self compassion etc etc? Broad question, but I really should do something with this knew self knowledge.

So this reminds me of one of my favourite WTF moments in heritage bureaucracy, which was the 2018 archaeological excavations just outside the chapel of St Peter at the Tower of London. nobody could decide who, apart from the king, could legally sign off on the project
…so there isn’t some department that is empowered to deal with this stuff that can just override the inevitable objections, I guess? rough, if so
