Wild doesn't even begin. Like, if Luigi ain't the guy? The likelihood they'll *ever* find the real killer has dropped significantly.
One of the wildest parts of the Luigi story is that he didn’t actually do it lol

We’ve been saying that since day one

I said it before, will say it again -- generative AI fetishizes "ideas" while sneering at effort, execution, and education. That, despite Gen-AI being built on and out of other people's effort, execution and education.
A.I. and the Fetishization Of Ideas
In writing and in dispensing my (very dubious, probably shady) writing advice, I am often keen to note that ideas are bullshit. Most writers treat them like precious gems when really, ideas are lik…

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

Genuinely didn’t know when I sent this daft post last month that it would turn into a fully fledged episode of Map Men. Thanks so much to everyone who replied!

We get articles every few weeks about how movie theaters are struggling to innovate & the Netflix deal is likely bad for them. Paramount is worse & actually harms everyone because the Ellisons getting control of CNN is more harmful. It’s not difficult. If 1 goes through, you want it to be Netflix.

On the one hand, we have a company that will destroy the theatrical experience buying WB & on the other hand, we have a company run by people willing to placate a fascist president, whose firing women, LGBTQ, and BIPOC employees, and is turning art into mainstream slop. Hollywood is doing great.

I shouldn't be talking out of school, but if you ever find yourself in a similar case, you can still ask for a special character agreement post-hoc. Helps if your editor will back you.

Of course getting the agreement enforced is another kettle of fish but it's a start
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli says she does not get any royalties from the ‘Spider-Verse’ films, Insomniac games, or merch

A thing I haven't seen brought up much regarding the big entertainment news of the week:

Box office actually DRIVES views on streaming.

In pretty much every instance, movies that had a theater run do better on streaming.

Delighted by this story of a rogue beaver in Norfolk. Particularly the line - At first he wondered whether “some small boy with an axe had somehow found his way into the woodland.” And the concept of ‘beaver bombing’.

Ellisons/Skydance acting like spoiled sore losers in that situation especially when WBD had no intentions to sell it to them from the start,They already fucking up Paramount especially CBS its not that hard to figure out why they didn't want to business w/them to begin with.

I'm not a fan of Netflix buying WB honestly but lesser of the evils owning it is a better scenario than Skydance owning them especially when it will be the same thing their fucking up Paramount right now. Even if the deal gets blocked WB will long be split up from Discovery & operated independently.
