A MONTH LATER...It's my birthday and that feels like a reasonable time to follow up on this. Because I want to. So if it's self-indulgent, GOOD. 🧵

Here's the backstory: The Books of the Usurper is published in the UK/Aus as an ebook through my agency for byzantine publishing reasons.
Okay I am going to try and remember to post some art tomorrow (because I have some stuff I keep meaning to share), but if you doubt me, Bluesky (wise), there is a whole thread of fan art on the Dungeon Scrawlers/Writing About Dragons & Shit discord: discord.gg/EqNHR9aX
Been reading this slowly on my lunch breaks and really enjoying it. It's a series I'd love to see fanart of because there's a bunch of original species that I have a hard time picturing in my limited imagination. #booksky

I FORGOT: This also marks the release of Havilar's latest rework. Go check out my girl's new moves! #idlechampions
What happens if Havilar gets the Eye AND Hand of Vecna? And the Sword of Kas as a little treat? I’m sure nothing bad. (Bonus: her old hand, Lefty, can help!)

Twice-Cursed Havilar and Lefty the (Cute) Crawling Claw are now available in @idlechampions.bsky.social

#Recovember Day 4: Spend 30+ min working on art, craft, or a hobby.

For many of us, resting during our downtime involves passive entertainment activities such as scrolling through social media or watching TV. There's nothing wrong with doing this occasionally... 1/4

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

I don't know about the rest of my eldritch millennials but "little treats" have been holding us together for our entire adult lives and if we lose even that, I will become pennywise the clown and haunt the sewers of DC, yanking GOP interns into the storm drain to sprinkle on my avocado toast.

Well he rallied enough to adamantly refuse to take another nap, answer yes to “do you want to go to school?”, no to “what about going later?” And “ool! ool!” When I tried to make him sit.

He is very hyped about this costume.

It always bothers me when people say certain age groups are "too old to trick or treat".

Today if you are in costume, knock & say "Trick or Treat" & we still have candy to give, you get candy. We don't care how old you are...little kids, teenagers, college students, adults with the kids...candy!

I've said this about writing and art -- the goal was not to replace writers and artists with AI, the result was either:

a) *threaten* to replace them with AI, and use that as leverage to be able to pay them less

b) replace them unsuccessfully and pay them less to fix the shit the AI barfed out
This is sometimes read as "look 'AI' isn't working". But the opposite is true.

_This_ is what "AI" is _for_. Push down labor power, push down wages, make employment more insecure.
