A college sophomore at an Occupy rally could not have generated such a grotesque outsized caricature of US imperialism
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

Take frequent breaks.
Every other douchebag on this platform is a foreign policy expert, philosopher and psychologist today.
Step away when you feel it becoming too much. You don't have to fight with everyone or give them the power to steal your energy.
Some of you are ready for that first break now

The media doesn’t talk enough about the fact that ”Let’s Make America Great Again” was Reagan’s 1980 campaign slogan

Candid answer - as someone who handled constituent affairs calls for years - while they’re not checking the phone right now, the urgency of the moment is important.

Show them you care enough to make the weekend call, and be counted that way. Staffers will clock and report this upstream.
Is there actually a benefit to leaving a VM now vs getting a staffer on Monday? Can do both but just curious

i think that people really underestimate reality that

1) administration has no doctrine, it is really about a single, mercurial, and half-awake man

2) the administration is a constantly churning system with factions that rise and fall contextually

3) might not have happened if trump tower caracas

Definitely not over it.
And let's go back to 2016 when we could have prevented his 3 appointments to SCOTUS, which have blessed his BS. Oh, but...we're supposed to "get over that".

There was plenty to be critical of the US about before we elected Trump, but we still had a certain amount of credibility abroad. We’ve set a torch to that. We’ve decimated our foreign aid services that fostered good will. It will take decades to recover.

Trump to Fox & Friends on the raid that captured Maduro: "I mean, I watched it literally l like I was watching a television show. If you would've seen the speed, the violence -- it was an amazing thing."

“The price of love is loss,
But still we pay.
We love anyway.
And when the night has finally gone.
And when we see the new day dawn.
We'll wonder how we wandered for so long, so blind.
The wasted world we thought we knew,
The light will make it look brand new.”

Had we elected Vice-President Kamala Harris, we would not see expiring health care subsidies. We would not have kidnapped the leader, legitimate or not, of another country. We would not be Putin’s buddy. We would not be ending every environmental protection we can. The list keeps going.

Trump promised no “new stupid wars,” yet he’s starting one with Venezuela without congressional approval.

People can’t afford groceries and millions are losing healthcare, but this is where his focus is.

This is unconstitutional and not what the American people asked for.

I can’t help but think this is what a lot of the bothsiderism gets us. It is hard to break through to the young folks I work with and call friends against whatever it is that’s influencing them.
People I know in Pennsylvania who volunteered for Harris said the biggest reason why young men didn't want to vote for Harris was that they believed she would send them to war.
I’m thinking this morning about all the people I spoke to last year who were absolutely convinced, and tried to convince me, that Trump would be antiwar compared to Biden and Harris.

In the past week alone he has attacked Nigeria and then Venezuela and also threatened to attack Iran (again).

“In a July 2017 private briefing with intelligence officials, President Donald Trump apparently asked why the US wasn’t at war with Venezuela, noting that “they have all that oil and they’re right on our back door.”

rubio pretty much believes in a reverse domino theory for latin america and since he is effectively running foreign policy in the region i would expect him to see cuba as his next target
And I don’t want to sound conspiratorial, but if they feel like they can do this in Venezuela without any serious consequences, they’re absolutely going to try it in Cuba too.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
