Seeing a trollish flame-thrower suddenly discover empathy when it is they who is under distress is pathetic and somewhat fascinating. One wonders whether their cognition makes contact w/ irony. It's the lowest EQ, shittiest character people who care about "a thing" only when it's happening to them.

Combating this lie is tiresome.

But it’s worth pointing out that RBOB gasoline today hit its highest level since September. ⛽️
Trump: "I don't want to hear about the affordability, because right now we're much less. If you look at energy, we're getting close to $2 a gallon gasoline."

There is some sad irony in McClatchy shutting its DC bureau the same day that Dick Cheney died.

That bureau (then Knight-Ridder) did some of the best, most skeptical reporting anywhere in the run-up to the Iraq War. And they took a lot of shit for it at the time.

I’m glad to know we are allowed to critique Reagan now.
Trump: "Ronald Reagan loved tariffs. He used them sparingly, which he probably made a mistake on that ... trade wasn't his strong suit ... Canada shouldn't have done it ... I don't know when [the new tariff] is gonna kick in. We'll see. But I really don't want to discuss it."

The comparison to the Tea Party is right -- not just in terms of the size of the protests, but the complaints they're making.

The Tea Party began when a CNBC reporter and a crowd of bond traders threw a tantrum about Obama continuing the post-crash bailouts that Bush began. That was their "tyranny"
Remember April 2009 when about 250,000 people took to America’s streets in Tea Party rallies and the media was like “oh man, the Dems are in trouble?” Approximately 28X as many people took to the streets to protest Trump yesterday. Didn’t even make the NYT front page.
In April of 2009 I observed the Tea Party rally in Salem. As this front page story says, there were a couple hundred people there. This past weekend in Salem there were roughly 2-3000 people at the Hands Off rally. Yet the Tea Party coverage seemed to take that event far more seriously.

It also helps you to avoid talking about it when you are never asked about it.

Last year, CNN ran a “fact check” of Kamala HQ that claimed we were lying for saying Trump’s plan is Project 2025.

Now Trump is outright admitting it’s his plan.

Legacy media failed the country.
