ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

"Political violence" is a term that exists to suggest a moral distinction between "violence against politicians" and "violence by politicians" - so that one can be condemned while the other can be normalized. Obviously, no such distinction exists in reality: violence is violence.

White privilege is afforded you if you look Caucasion, even if you have other ethnicities. You do get, upon a glance, social benefits our Brown/Black friends do not. Admitting this fact? Does not negate the "conditional" nature of this privilege for some marginalized folks. 1/?
