My topics of interest: books (mostly non-fiction and on a wide range of subjects), bats, squirrels, film/tv, gothic & morbid stuff, fountain pens & stationery, Hookland, museums, and tea. I barely post, for which I apologize. I'm working on it.

Horrific times create an ethical imperative to ask yourself “What can I do?”
The answer is of course, “everything you can.” How that translates into specific actions is gonna be different for everyone.

[Book] "America's Horror Stories: US History through Dark Tourism" by Kevin Revier and Favian Alejandro Martín.

One of my major interests is dark tourism and efforts to portray troubling history well, but too many books are either too academic or too aimed at "gore-hounds". This looks reasonable.

Preparing for the annual National Séance (watching Ghostwatch along with hundreds of other people and tweeting about it together)! It's slightly less spooky for me since it's the middle of my afternoon, but the community of it is so much fun!
