Even this framing from PSA sounds deranged, there is no worthy “debate” over trans rights. Trans people deserve full rights and equal protections and freedom under the law full stop. There is no reasonable other “side” on this issue.

I’m once again asking for help. I am currently in training which means I have very limited time and money available to get any surgery done. If I’m unable to afford this surgery, I may have to wait until 2027 which may be too late for many reasons.

I’m once again asking for help. I am currently in training which means I have very limited time and money available to get any surgery done. If I’m unable to afford this surgery, I may have to wait until 2027 which may be too late for many reasons.

And like even more than that, they see transition as a whole as frivolous - so needing to sell sex to pay for rent while living as a trans person due to becoming unemployable is seen as a matter of lifestyle choice that could be abandoned if you detransitioned.
There's a vast gulf between trans and cis understanding of what it means for a trans sex worker to say she needed to sell sex to pay for surgery.
We read that the same as if a diabetic said they needed to sell sex to pay for insulin. Cis people still see our medical needs as frivolous, a choice.

trans kids in sports is the doorway to gender essentialist legal structure that will regulate ALL of us.
What they want is a SCOTUS precedent declaring all sex discrimination is subject to rational scrutiny thereby allowing for broad regulation of people's lives on the basis of their sex (see Trump's sex definition EO). They see trans athletes as a foot in the door to achieve that.
