It's very common for artists to doubt themselves, I'm constantly questioning & criticizing my abilities.
It's important to perservere. Push through negative feelings, keep learning & improving. Don't stop creating. Acknowledge your accomplishments no matter how small & forgive your failures.

In recent months I've started learning #weaving. It's challenging, but very satisfying when things come together. Currently I'm practicing getting my tension, beating, and selvedges more even while making some cotton hankies (pattern 52826 on handweaving.net) 🧶

For hobbyists especially: "message in a bottle" mindset about posting your art will really spare you some grief. Post art, hope for the best, wander off and do something else. If people like it, that's great~. And if they don't it won't hurt you - you're occupied with other things.

I don't post much personal work these days as professional stuff takes up most of my artistic energy, but I'm always open to answer questions or offer support.
Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.
I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
