Just returning from a failed attempt to reconnect with the woodland viera her parents came from. The empire got much more aggressive and it turned the trip home into a long, long odyssey. She and her fellow travelers made it back, but it wasn't easy.

In IT: best practices are important and almost never implemented. Security is mostly a matter of 1: making a sufficiently tall annoyance fence to deter basic attempts. Way more of it is just not being targeted in the first place.

Way back when I had a tabletop character concept for a kindly viera who climbed out of a hard life and had taken to running an orphanage to help kids like her.
I finally committed to XIV once playable viera we announced, and began an absolutely sprawling headcanon around this viera.
