Rebecca ported the adventure game Out of This World / Another World to the SNES. It plays at half the speed of the original, but she made that slow, plodding pace serve the game’s wordless mysteries.
The SNES OOTW also has an understated soundtrack. RIP to a legend.

So I think a reason why Metroid usually ends up a mess writing-wise is because nobody really knows who Samus IS -- myself included.

I get the complaints about the turbo-nerd who walks Samus through the opening area of Metroid Prime 4, but I don't understand why some previews sound disappointed that Prime 4 isn't re-inventing the series. Dudes, Metroid Prime 3 is old enough to start thinking seriously about its career and family.

When I was little, Canada had The Urban Peasant. Some kid in my grade 6 class started a rumour that he had a breakdown, grabbed his genitals on the air, and screamed that the dish he was cooking “tastes like this” before being cancelled. Just in case you thought kids weren’t stupid in the ‘90s.

I never liked Keighley, but I never DISliked him until now. He's just a spoiled child. As long as people like him muscle their way into being the voice for video games, this pastime will never get over its perception as a hobby for manchildren.

Phantom Menace’s campaigns intertwined with the early internet, but most people still needed to buy a ticket to a movie they didn’t care about to see the preview trailer for Phantom Menace. Downloading a trailer in ‘98 was a BIG ask.

Much of my previous work history is in the service industry, and I actually enjoyed it sometimes. Sure, customers can be dicks, but they’re usually easy to diffuse.
