I'm really gonna need folks to pay attention to the anti-disability language that Donald Trump used today. You can read @metrauxjulia.bsky.social for details. It is as central to what he's doing as the misogyny and racism and homophobia and ....

Trump responds to Washington plane crash with racist, ableist diatribe
The president used the tragedy, which killed 67, to deliver a bigoted and self-promoting tirade about DEI.

Alcohol is only associated with domestic violence because it lowers inhibitions for men who want to be violent to women. It does not make men want to be violent to women. That’s inexcusable & pathologic, and it’s disturbing to me when people imply that domestic violence is “a disease” like addiction

It's hard to imagine a more brutal illustration of climate injustice and a failed society than indentured teenage slaves being used to protect the homes of wealthy Americans.
These teenagers and young men — 95% of whom are Black, Latinx, or Filipino — earn between $2.20 and $4 per hour, plus an additional $1 an hour when they’re actively fighting fires, according to the DJJ. ⤵️

Appliance makers, I beg you — please just make a fridge that lasts more than a decade. This is like two steps away from my kitchen appliances talking about me behind my back and forming their own Nextdoor communities.
I could, have, and possibly will again, write an entire essay on "adaptive to our needs, interactive, and engaging." This is the language of the braindead innovation consultant - the enduring idea that people need an abstract Interactivity without the remotest idea of what it might be.
Hell. You are describing hell. Nobody wants an “interactive and engaging” dishwasher. They just want their dishes cleaned. www.forbes.com/sites/bernar...

it’s really funny that maggie will spill more words pissing up a rope in somebody’s dm’s than she will on stories she’s been sitting on with her semi-permanent embed going on ten years now. she’s a third of the way to traditional retirement eating for free hanging out with a single dude
The most unhinged series of DMs I ever got on Twitter came from Maggie Haberman after I very lightly critiqued her framing on something

Her skin is so thin is practically translucent

Grocery stores have grinders for coffee beans. I need them to also have stirring machines for “natural” nut butters. That Costco almond butter jar… whoo wee!

Very weird to see a random sign taped to a store window that clearly articulates my particular familial curse…
