I’m also a parent of an autistic kid. It’s particularly chilling that our buddy here laments that autistic folks “will never pay taxes” as if that’s what makes a life valuable. This is a capitalism brain worm (sorry) that needs to be squashed. A person’s value is not tethered to their productivity.

At my parents’ place, it’s just constantly, “who had the green mug? Did I?” and “whoever has the mug with the donkey on it forgot their coffee in the microwave! AGAIN.”
