I know it’s not for everyone, that it’s incredibly niche, but the details in YAKUZA LEAGUE from the character design, art direction, and script (and more) are so specific and perfect that it remains my favorite animated feature.

Though there are some stirring moments (esp in Thomas Jane's performance), FRONTIER CRUCIBLE doesn't achieve what it seeks. It aspires to slowly raise tensions until they boil over, but things are too neat, too clean, and too predictable for the anticipated thrills to be found or felt. #filmsky

Which stinks b/c fans of AVATAR have kids that would likely enjoy seeing this in theaters.
I’m guessing as a result of all the Skydance era reshuffling (and we’ve heard there was a lot of drama around their animated projects plus SpongeBob just opened weaker than hoped) but THE LEGEND OF AANG: THE LAST AIRBENDER animated movie is now gonna debut straight to Paramount+, bypassing theaters.
