But basically I love the idea that SY misses his family so much that one of the first things he does is subconsciously trying to find someone to- not replace, but fill a similar role to his siblings. Guy who definitely isn't lonely simply has good time with strangers who remind him of his family

So. Shen Qingqiu thinks of Yue Qingyuan as a reliable older brother (Shen da-ge), and Liu Qingge as a tattler to said brother and wilderness-loving explorer (Shen er-ge). But I don't think, despite Binghe being a "sweet young maiden" to him, that he's ever directly compared to Shen mei-mei.
