“I’ve said it time & time again - we need to leave the ECHR” says Reform candidate Matt Goodwin

The ECHR protects us all. The rights within it – firmly implanted into UK law by the Human Rights Act – are the reason why families devastated by disasters like Hillsborough could demand justice
🚨Gorton and Denton by-election

Surely by now we can all see that Reform is a party that thrives on division, fuels anger, and uses the scapegoating of minorities to gain support.

We are so much better than that.

DON’T BE TAKEN IN BY THE DIVISIVE POLITICS OF REFORM

I find myself in the sad position of being an environmentalist who absolutely supports this - for defence from Russia but also independence from the USA (it should not be used on US gear we can’t rely on).

Spent domestically it would probably boost the economy too. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The prime minister is considering meeting a 3% defence-spending target five years earlier than planned, the BBC learns.

Starmer should have listened to his rebels like Rachel Maskell (York Central) rather than spitefully removing the whip then looking a twit when he realised she was talking sense. Honest, informed debate within a party should be encouraged.
Unions & Labour MPs call on Starmer to end 'narrow factional agenda'.

Authoritarian Starmer can't change. Left purged, local parties weakened, conference resolutions ignored.

Starmer withdrew whip from 7 MPs for opposing the two child benefit cap, now govt policy.

Need new leader, policy changes.

Nigel Farage said in 2022 that MPs defecting to another party and then refusing to call a by-election was

“no go, it’s not right, it is dishonorable”

So where are the by-elections for all those MPs who have now joined Reform?
🚨VERY IMPORTANT!

I’d recommend pushing for a ban on donations via corporate bodies. The donation then has to come from the individual concerned.

This stops the use of a complex structure of companies to hide behind - in particular relevance to overseas donations.

The fact Nigel Farage's company is called Thorn in the Side Limited is instructive. He doesn't want to run things; too much work. He doesn't want to solve things; too much thought. He just wants to be an annoyance. The classic backseat driver.
Nigel Farage has just moved his company address to...Mayfair. As Private Eye notes, nothing says 'man of the people' like it.

(The office appears to belong, through a complex web, to Reform treasurer Nick Candy's firm)
