Someone must stop these low-wage servants from buying all the houses!
JD Vance: "Democrats' idea was the way you get more prosperity is that you import more and more low wage servants."

They’re going to do a lot of lying, at any rate.
JD Vance: "We inherited a disaster. We chipped away at a lot of that problem in 10 months, but that's why you've got 4 year terms. Because we're going to do a lot over the next 3 years."

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

Epstein: I’m best friends with this pedo running for President, here’s a bunch of stories about how big a pedo he is

NYT: but her emails
Landon Thomas Jr of the New York Times got told by Jeffrey Epstein that Trump walked into a glass door bc he was so busy staring at girls in Epstein's house and didn't print it. wild that the Times didn't consider that newsworthy.

Maybe the real pee tape is in the Epstein files we discovered along the way. (But, like, for real.)

The Epstein files should be released, and people should know the truth about Trump, and obviously this could make some difference to how (un)popular he is. But this isn’t going to suddenly bring him down bc republicans already know that he’s raped women, and like 99% of them don’t care.
the president admitted to sexual assault on camera and it didn't matter

Interesting result for the Why Vote It’s Not Like My Vote Changes Anything crowd
Seattle Mayor -- UPDATE:

- ☑️ Katie Wilson - 137,217 (50.25%)

We project that Katie Wilson will be the next mayor of Seattle.

Listen I’m sorry to be probably the 675 hojillionth person to make this basic snarky observation but:

Bragman had a real chance to advocate for things that could have advanced progressive priorities in America. Instead, he wrote the “liberal case” for voting for Donald fucking Trump.

Unlike you, I can read and that’s why I know what the constitution says.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

Initially some people questioned the wisdom of making health care the center of the shutdown messaging. Then they changed their tune bc it worked! But then they got mad again bc democrats didn’t actually have the power to bring back the subsidies. The shutdown was actually about showing fight.
The base I think needed to see a demonstration of a fight and they showed that. They didn’t have a way to deliver on the asks if republicans were obstinate, and they were. But I think just deciding not to fight in the first place was worse.

This is only a contrarian view on a website that has full on lost its mind.
A bit of a contrarian view. Democrats likely won't pay a price for this in the midterms. The American memory is quite short on political machinations. But Republicans are about to learn a central tenet of American politics: You cannot give people a benefit and then take it away.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

USAID is still gone, no other country has shown either the will or the ability to fill in the services whose disappearance is going to kill millions of people, and no one in the media or political class cares that we are going to kill more people than the Holocaust before this is over 👍

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
