Last year, Republicans made the choice to defund Medicaid while giving ICE a $75 BILLION budget increase.

When Dems take back control, we can and must undo this abomination. Cut ICE’s budget. Fund healthcare. Reverse the House’s GOP cruelty and arrogance.

At the end of the day, a poll tax is a very bad, unconstitutional idea.

You must vote. You must vote for the Democrat against Trump. There is no other remotely morally acceptable position. I’m sorry if this simple truth gets you yelled at but it’s still true

Think of the millions of people who will die bc of the evisceration of USAID as having something — a life — that a decent person thinks has a lot of moral value. Will you take the action, among those available to you, that is most likely to protect it? You might, if you aren’t a sanctimonious ass!

The successful effort to force Biden out signaled to elite media that they had a veto over Democratic Party primary voters. Whether they successfully exercise it or simply try to in 2028 is an open question but bet your sweet nippy they’re going to try.
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

If the criticism of Kat Abu running in IL-09 were essentially that she’s Palestinian, then yes, it would be illegitimate bigotry to be dismissed out of hand. But I thought it was that a) she just moved to Chicago from somewhere else *in the United States* and b) she still doesn’t live in IL-09.

Biden did tons of things Americans supposedly wanted and they hated him for it. He was terrible on Gaza. Otherwise, he was the best president of my life, despite having a mostly uncooperative congress, and I’m 43.

I can’t wait for this racist piece of filth who would happily participate in ethnic cleansing to die. Sorry not sorry to be so blunt.
I can wait for Elon to up and move to Dunfermline Scotland to return to his preferred heritage.

Why would he live in Texas whose cultural heritage is Spanish and Native American.

Ideally you want to go ham on doing this. (I think, but I honestly don’t know what that means.)

“Republicans have a tiny bit of agency, and, yes, they used it to do something bad, but you have to understand that’s only because democrats — the ones who have full-fledged agency, and thus deserve most of the blame — did something bad first.”

DHS is shutting down shortly while the rest of the government remains open bc democrats (so far, things could change) actually handled this situation pretty well, but if you think those facts are going to have any effect on senate Gabe’s poasting, well, I’m afraid you don’t know senate Gabe.

I know a major climate group spent all of 2024 loudly and proudly proclaiming it could see no difference between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris that would justify actually voting for one over the other, but perhaps controversially I do not think a Harris Presidency would have done this

Aside from bullshit that centrist outlets spout (which, to be clear, I am not excusing) we also need to acknowledge that the average American voter saw “Mass Deportation Now” signs at the GOP convention and thought “cool, as long as my car juice gets cheaper”. This is largely a nation of bigots.
Trump lied about immigrants in 2016 too. He then defeated an official from the administration that holds the deportation record.

If migration caused Trump's reelection (I don't think it did), it wasn't b/c of migrants. It was b/c mainstream, centrist outlets amplified fearmongering about migrants.

Since Bovino surely has absolutely no idea what he is talking about, we need to get someone to feed him a giant pile of elephant crap and tell him it’s like stewed wolverine or something so he eats it all and says it’s delicious.
