Honestly, this Test & Learn event is joyful. There are so many examples of the real-life transformation of public institutions - quicker, more responsive, more human, more purpose-driven and fun to work in. e.g. these slides are from a brilliant example from Nottingham 1/n

✨ I spend lots of time talking about making things more 'service-oriented' … this post updates some of that thinking. incl. what I wrote in Multiplied, based on work, opportunities and ideas I'm seeing in places like Health/NHS #servicedesign

In case you're wondering, authoritarians use this strategy of escalation to manufacture crisis, provoke outrage, then use the reaction to justify repression. It’s not about restoring order, it's about creating a spectacle of chaos they can claim only they can control.
Escalating to escalate.

In this era, I think it's more useful to sort people by whether they participate in democratic discourse or disordered discourse, rather than left vs right.
Weird how centrists Joe Rogan, Glenn Greenwald and Bari Weiss all solely platform Republican voices, amplify far-right conspiracies and backed Trump in 2024.

This guidance is a classic of the nhse genre and the usual missed opportunity.
New guidance on use of AI scribing tools has now released.
- gives a good overview
- outlines benefits but there’s no link to evidence base of these benefits!!
- no acknowledgment of the downsides & mitigation
- lots of expectation on staff but some of this could (should!) be embedded in the tech
