Basically Trump is threatening to sanction NATO unless NATO commits suicide.

And people still think he might sanction Russia. He is doing Putin’s work.

I could not agree more. The actions of this man that still behaves like he is on a TV show may have real and deadly consequences.
Americans may not care about the rest of the world, but the consequences of his actions are for all to suffer.
💬❤️‍🔥This comment from an Australian about Trump went viral on the internet, and I’d like to share it here with you all. How fitting:

He seems to be running a bit ahead of himself. he assumes here that he will be leading a free Iran and decides about it's foreign policy.
So basically he is trying to get the west behind him, so they install him up to lead Iran.
Reza Pahlavi says a free Iran will end its nuclear program, recognize Israel, and normalize ties with the US. He calls to expand the Abraham Accords into “Cyrus Accords.” A vision of Iran rising from repression, peaceful, democratic, and a reliable partner to the world.

Is anyone else finding it rather peculiar that Russia cannot keep anything secret? Literally everything come on the internet within a day with pics. It is like they race to be the first to publish.
Not complaining here, they do great.
The Iranian-flagged dry cargo ship Rona has reportedly sunk in the Caspian Sea off the coast of Turkmenistan while en route from Iran to Astrakhan, Russia.

There is no official confirmation at this time, but the vessel was on fire and taking sinking at the stern (engine room).

Very interesting analysis. It would indeed explain the extremely disproportionate reaction by Russia.
Yesterday I published an analysis on the tanker MARINERA arguing that this was not a routine sanctions evasion case and not a simple oil shipment problem because the behavior around this vessel did not fit commercial logic and instead tracked with mission logic.

Few thoughts on the Greenland saga, summarized in a short thread. Some of these points have already sparked debate on X, but after Miller’s speech, I am even more convinced. 🧵Thread

Iranian leaders can only escape to Russia , China or North Korea. Any other place like Africa would be an instant invitation to get wacked by Israel.
Serves them well that their best option is Moscow. Enjoy the cold.

The weirdest thing about Americans is how many of them think their laws apply to every person in the world.
But they're certain other countries' laws don't apply to them.

There’s going to be a lot of spin (from all sides) related to the U.S. grabbing Maduro.

Setting aside debates of whether U.S. should or shouldn’t have done it…

I’m struggling to see how Russia has a net win related to this situation.

To put this more bluntly, Europe has largely outsourced its foreign policy to America since WWII. This has created the illusion within the EU that foreign policy remains a national “competency.” It’s not. So if Europe wants a bigger voice it needs to speak as Europe.
Europe has a foreign policy problem. It does need to engage in these talks and doing so as 7 or 8 leaders just doesn't work. It makes it easy to work around Europe. So the EU should pick a special envoy - perhaps the fmr Finnish president Niinisto or a Draghi type to engage on behalf of Europe.
No formal "counter-proposal" from Europeans in Geneva - whose leaders instead agreed to try to dilute or amend US-Russian draft to keep Trump onside - but a list of demands on UA territory, size of army & EU control over frozen assets & sanctions

I have long been suspicious of Trump being a Russian asset. Now we have a “peace proposal” literally written by Russia being forced down Ukraines throat.
This happens at the moment Russias economy is reaching the proverbial wall.
It is not Trump forcing Ukraine, it is Russia forcing Trump.
