Finally finished this video last night and while I think it's generally excellent, it misses on one key point: cheap ≠ cheap ≠ cheap. That is, capital costs aren't capacity or energy market prices aren't final bills/rates for residential customers. And most average people only care about the last.

What's crazy isn't just thinking this. It's deciding that this is a sentiment worth publishing, and the editorial staff at The Atlantic agreeing. You can just not say this stuff!

Our goal as a society should not be five minute EV charging. It should be places that have 20-30 minute charging but are pleasant to be in for that time period. Interesting little roadside museums, weird art installations, cool parks. Make charging culturally enriching.
