Blue Cross: We won’t approve your patient’s hysterectomy until she’s had an endometrial biopsy

Also Blue Cross: Once the biopsy is done, the hysterectomy will be approved. We don’t need to wait for the result

This is an insurance company insisting I inflict violence on a patient for no reason
OH MY GOD, so get this

BCBS was waiting on some updated/corrected info from provider. Provider finally gets back to them, insurance updates info, then ACCIDENTALLY denies my claim saying it was OON, total error on their behalf, so provider bills me AGAIN.
Anthem BC/BS came back, 10 months later, and decided that it was going to deny me and my son's rabies treatments, after already approving the claim last December.

Denying a claim where if treatment were not given, results in death 100% of the time!

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

it's been hard to put this feeling into words, but we've spent the past couple of decades being lectured to and patronized by an elite class that spent its free time joshing with jeffrey epstein about his little sex abuse empire while lecturing us about how out of touch we are

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

19 years of practice, literally thousands of vaccines given. One case of Guillain-Barre when I was a resident and it was related to enterovirus.

Interesting that all the bad people are talking about this very rare condition at the same time - almost like they are coordinating somehow. 🤔

All these men touching their penises and then touching freaking everything. Penis on the doorknob, penis on the table, penis on the serving utensils at the buffet
I've told this story before but one of my roommates in medical school never washed his hands after #1 and his reasoning was "I DIDN'T PISS ON MY HANDS!"

If you live in southeast Ohio near Oxford DM me and I will let you know which primary care doctor to avoid.

On May 27 2025, these 3 MAHA/MAGA dudes took to X to say they were no longer recommending COVID vaccination in pregnancy

This was terrible advice:

First, pregnancy is a risk factor for severe COVID-19 (discussed at www.acog.org/womens-healt...)

I'm hearing the same thing. Dems are nearing a surrender. I'm shocked. Largest protest in history + best election night in years + polling showing we're kicking their ass in public opinion. And now Dems may cave.

It ain't over til it's over, so please do call if you've got a Dem senator.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Food prices are up. SNAP is being held hostage. Millions of government workers are going on 6 weeks without pay. Unemployment has been rising and as of August more than 7 million Americans were unemployed. And the minimum wage hasn’t increased since 2009, when a dollar was worth >50% more than today

The 6th Circuit has been competing to be the most anti-trans circuit in America and is now carving out a right to bully transgender kids.

Despicable.
BREAKING: The Sixth Circuit, in a 10-7 en banc decision, holds that an Ohio school district's anti-bullying policy that requires students to use children's preferred pronouns is likely unconstitutional on these facts.

Judge Murphy, a Trump appointee, writes the court's decision.

If you work in healthcare and aren’t constantly appalled by the suffering people endure over something as stupid and unnecessary as people going without food or proper nutrition (or housing or medicine etc) in the wealthiest country in the history of the world then why are you working in healthcare?
The nurse who made fun of new parents who can’t feed their babies without SNAP was fired.

Shame on her.

Poverty is not a moral failing.

Those in healthcare roles are supposed to help, not hurt.

Don’t forget to donate diapers, formula & feminine care products to food banks!

"Why don't people support welfare programs?"

Racism. More specifically, anti-Blackness.

White folks asked about who welfare serves overestimate the number of Black people on welfare. Not only that, but just the mere THOUGHT of who welfare supports led less white people to support it. #blacksky
