Is Minnesota the greatest example of community organizing in US history outside our founding? Someone who knows history way better than me can feel free to correct me.

Absolutely heartbreaking

You don't need to spread their lies or debunk them, which just spreads the lies. You just need to remind everyone:

They're murdering innocent Americans trying to practice their constitutional rights.
They're murdering innocent Americans trying to practice their constitutional rights. Why? Because this regime has decided it's in the business of killing innocent Americans and then smearing their corpses.

That's the whole story.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

Call me crazy, but I think that this is an attempt by Trump to take out MSNBC because I think like 90% of their ad inventory is pharma ads. I know, I know, so does Fox etc...

Damn, that is a deep mascot.
Hatton, a sentient aerial view of a spilled bowl of soup, is the mascot for Tome City. The ingredients in the soup are local produce, and the spillage is in the shape of the city.

The Florida SG argues that the government cannot force children to be vaccinated, but also that gender-affirming care for minors should be banned? I'd say they're just stupid but that hides how they codify their believes into laws, regardless of contradictions.

Florida state leaders announced plans to get rid of all vaccine mandates, including for schools, making it the first state to do so.

Disgusting.
An unarmed veteran was attacked from behind, sustaining injuries and being dragged into a Portland ice building.

Didn’t have “Billy Long has a spine” on my bingo card.
Exclusive: The Internal Revenue Service said Friday it wouldn’t tell immigration authorities whether people had claimed the earned income tax credit, citing privacy protections.

Later that day, Billy Long was on his way out.
IRS, White House clashed over immigrants’ data before tax chief was ousted
The Trump administration’s move to push out IRS Commissioner Billy Long came after the agency said it couldn’t release some information on taxpayers suspected of being here illegally.

I don’t trust Maxwell. I could see her agreeing to name only Trump enemies and leave him out in exchange for a pardon.

this is going to put owning a complete dinosaur skeleton totally out of reach for the average American family
Earlier this summer, I broke the news that Sothebys — after smashing records for a private fossil sale in 2024 — was bringing a Ceratosaurus that had previously been in a museum to market. It just sold for $30 million, the third highest price ever.

The age of sky-high dinosaur prices is here.

Now waiting for the @nytimes.com article about the cognitive decline of the President. Along with the article about the Utah study on transgender care for minors, commission by conservatives, that found that the care was supported by science. I'll wait.

I find it interesting that Bill Clinton was almost taken down by a BJ, and a lie about that BJ, and Trump could possibly be taken out by the Epstein files. None of the other stuff that Trump did was considered bad by the MAGA faithful, but, like Clinton, this seems to cross a line for them.

This 100x - people do not seem to recognize that this is the culmination of a very long term project.
If you grew up in a household with an evangelical right-wing parent, as I did, you already know that the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education, like the reversal of Roe v. Wade, is the culmination of a 50-year project.

They are going to go after mifepristone. Anybody that told you otherwise wasn't paying attention.
NEW: The American Association of Pro-Life OBGYNs has sent a letter to HHS and the FDA asking for a reinstatement of pre-2016 restrictions on the abortion pill mifepristone, which would limit its use to just seven weeks of pregnancy and require in-person distribution and follow up.

This might be the most insane thing the Trump admin has talked about.
Brooke Rollins on farm laborers: "There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce toward automation and 100% American participation, which with 34 million able-bodied on Medicaid we should be able to do fairly quickly."

Can anyone explain to me the logic of the Republicans passing a bill that would seem to end their political careers? The only reason I can come up with is that the GOP has assumed that Trump will become a dictator and they want to be on his side when that happens. Makes zero sense.

Been thinking about this a lot - not from a privacy standpoint but just from a feasibility POV. Amazon, for example, has zero incentive to allow agents (other than their own) to automatically drive, say, a purchase.
Worth a watch:

Head of Signal, Meredith Whittaker, on so-called "agentic AI" and the difference between how it's described in the marketing and what access and control it would actually require to work as advertised.
