Remembering is a crime apparently. Ukraine’s skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych was disqualified from the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics after wearing a helmet depicting Ukrainian athletes killed since Russia’s 2022 invasion. His team plans to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. #Ukraine

Vladyslav Heraskevych was disqualified before his first run at the 2026 Olympic Games because of a helmet featuring images of Ukrainian athletes kіІled by russia. The IOC called it a violation of Rule 50 and bаnned him from using it, treating remembrance of the fallen as a political stаtement.

Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych was banned from using a helmet at the 2026 Olympics that depicted fallen Ukrainian athletes. At the same time, an Italian snowboarder competed wearing a helmet with the Russian flag - which is prohibited and "there was no reaction to this."
