As an alternative, let me introduce everyone to Lovers Leap Arch (and the broader Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore).

If you're feeling frisky, you can kayak underneath it. Heck, you might even see some Northern Lights while you're there.

“Voting is choosing the conditions you and your comrades organize under, and choosing your least powerful foe” is really the predominate way any leftist should view electoral politics.

Of the hundreds, if not thousands, of nicknames I have for my dog, my favorite has got to be Bilbo Beggins.

Alt: A gif of young Bilbo Baggins (from the movie series The Hobbit, portrayed by Martin Freeman), eyes closed, with a golden sunrise behind him, transitioning slowly to the image of a ruddy brown lab retriever, eyes closed, with the golden sun shining upon his face.

The series on cancer comes from contributors with deeply personal connections to the disease. Some are living with cancer, others have lost friends, and a few have survived it themselves. During our reporting, we lost two contributors. One to cancer and another to complications after surviving it.

Ah yes. My delicatessen chicken. $4.99 from Costco. Gives a 2-person household at least 4 meals worth, plus bones for stock/soups for another 3 meals.

Much luxury. Très extravagant.

Being a professor in 2026 is authentically responding to a student's curiosity and attempts to connect what we're learning in class to the complexities of their own life, while always assuming that anything you say or write is being recorded and could be sent to politicians and/or other groups.

“I’m mad I can’t understand Bad Bunny’s lyrics because they’re not in English”

my brother millions of metalheads around the world have been happily listening to incomprehensible Finnish shrieks and Japanese death grunts since we were teens, you’re just boring and racist

Bad Bunny’s performance began in the plantation, featured broken electric poles, and ended by centering a hemispheric understanding of “América”—among many other things—and some Anglo journalists are like “his performance wasn’t political.”

This is why we need to be telling our stories.

If there's ever been a time to NOT be incrementalist, this is it. The most political capital you're gonna have is right now. And we got Gestapo death squads in MSP and TB spreading through concentration camps in Texas. If you can't find a win there, get out of politics. The Epstein Class, baby

I mean, am I a curmudgeon, or is this not clearly about viewership and revenue?

Whether you're hate-watching, but love 🏈, or tuning in to the TBI show for the first time in a long time to see Billie say "fuck 🧊" live, they at least think they're going to have a huge return on ad investment. No?
People arguing about Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl are behind the curve. Culture already moved.

The NFL didn’t experiment; it aligned with gravity. That’s how power actually changes.

Quietly, then all at once. 💥

Big news from Virginia last night:

Dems unveiled their 10-1 congressional map in response to GOP gerrymanders in other states. It targets 4 Republicans & has 10 Harris seats.

It would be used in 2026 if a referendum passes on April 21.

Some other wonderful Hadith along the same lines; the pairing of both neighbor and guest has the sense of encompassing everyone you might meet- every other person is either a neighbor or guest, and God brings all of them to you to see if you will treat them as God commands
