Anyone got a good zine version of the Manifesto of the Committee to Abolish Outer Space? I'm in the mood to pick fights with the techno optimists who think their colonial relation to the cosmos is somehow different/good.

Still at it in the cold.

Drop some new (or some old favorite) zine recs. Need to refresh the table for next week.

During the riots in Minneapolis (2020), looted goods were freely distributed, instead of becoming individual stockpiles. This is the move. Mutual aid is an opening which can lead to more corrosive action against the reproduction of the racial regime of Capital.

Fight back against the fucking abductions you fucking coward. Stop moralizing observation and actually resist.
Cool. Lead by example and show us the "PROPER" response.

You KNOW that Trump is trying desperately to provoke a violent response from the communities so that he can impose FULL martial law.

You have a better idea than what these traumatized communities are already doing? Share your wisdom!

Explain to me how it is counterproductive to resist the abduction of individuals deemed prey, but standing by and watching their abduction isn't? What exactly are you hoping to produce through these ways of relating to present violence?
I see it as a different situation than just fighting off muggers. They are armed AND have the backing of the US government (even if it’s not actually legal). We need to undermine their protection, in the meantime forceful intervention can easily be deadly and counterproductive, frustrating as it is.

The danger is already present for those being abducted. It isn't more dangerous to resist, it is only a shift in where the danger is borne. It is okay to be afraid and for that fear to affect action, but justification of inaction because of "danger" is cowardice.
Asking random passerby to attack federal agents is so fucking dangerous. Filming is doing something. Resistance requires organization and training. Stop this.
ICE clearly does not, in totality, fear observation. When you stand by and dutifully observe the horror they enact, all that is proven is that you will watch as people are brutalized and do nothing aside from shout or film. Your deference to observation fuels the expansion of this horror.

Every video you take of an ICE raid is infinitely more likely to send someone resisting that raid to prison than it is to hold anyone conducting the raid "accountable". Observation is not resistance. It is apologia for inaction.

New piece: "To See and To Speak"

A gesture towards the necessity of understanding analysis and articulation as skills we need to intentionally develop in ourselves and one another to meaningfully combat the world around us.

Any feedback or sharing appreciated.

The key to motivating "political" writing is to develop the skill of thinking about something so hard you get incomprehensibly angry at the world around you, such that your only options are to give in to the delirium of revolt and fight and claw and scream.......

or write an essay.

This is social war and these clowns are way out over their skis stop acting like every blustery statement and gesture reflects real material capacities, what everyone saw today was that they actually cant protect their own and they're desperately trying to make it look otherwise. Stop helping them

The idea that anyone can fathom the exact form of organization necessary is the cardinal sin of the majority of the Left, even many anarchists. The point is not to wait though, but to act, see what sticks & move accordingly. Sometimes an org needs to collapse to allow members to think on their own.

The forms of organization necessary for a struggle arises from the struggle itself. Sometimes it's a far-flung network, sometimes it's a whole city block in association, sometimes it's a texting chain for sharing news, sometimes it's a couple of friends calling off to do nightime actions.
