Extreme-part-time TTRPG content author, unfinished novelist, ADHD, Dyscalculia, she/her, Curséd of the Egg Gods, Kobold of Many Images. I do not speak Welsh, even if I claim that I do.
Every book I've ever read and enjoyed has been another stitch in the embroidered tapestry of my soul.

Terry Pratchett taught me how to be a good person, and that good people can and should also be angry.

Ellis Peters taught me that details matter, and rules can be bent for good reasons.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Kindle keeps saying I'm "getting close to your reading goal" for the year, and it's causing me anxiety because I passed my goal in June and it's making me doubt my memory.

I'm sure they don't mean to be gaslighting me, but it is and it needs to stop.

Imma just turn off notifications.

Patrick Penn, the man responsible for the USDA's shifting SNAP letters, had never worked in federal government outside of the military until Trump appointed him in May. His only experience in state government was less than five years as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives.
NEW: DOJ says full SNAP payments were "unauthorized," as USDA directs states to "undo" them.

A week of chaotic change-ups as food benefits for more than 40 million people hang in the balance.

My son tried to explain the English dub of Ghost Stories to me, and I refused to believe what he's telling me is correct.

So I looked it up and it's correct.

I have apologized to my son.
