2/2 Instead, seeds were sold to bring birds to tables just a few square inches in area, creating a continuous concentration of feeding birds.
The possibility of disease transmission is magnified enormously - unlike the natural situation, where birds are constantly moving to new feeding positions.

1/2 Imagine if the #RSPB & #WildlifeTrusts had promoted & sold sapling hedgerow trees, such as the Field maple, at all their premises back at the turn of the millenium.
They would now be at maturity & would be bearing seeds & fruit for birds like these Greenfinches.

Kate Rusby has the perfect voice generally, but she brings a haunting quality to Christmas carols. Like this lovely rendition of 'The Wren'.

You can learn it now to sing on St Stephen's Day (26 December) as tradition. Just promise to leave the wrens alone.

It’s really simple…

- Cap all political donations
- Ban foreign donations
- Strict conflict‑of‑interest & anti‑corruption laws with penalties
- No titles, honours or peerages for donors
- No govt contracts for donors
- Publish every donation/lobby meeting

…that’ll do it.

The news that the NHS may now have to pay up to £3 billion more for drugs from the US is concerning.

There needs to be clarity from the Government about who exactly will pay for this.

The Government shouldn't prioritise economic growth over the health of the NHS.
