Just like every year, a friendly PSA:

“Feliz ano nuevo” means “happy new anus.”

“Feliz año nuevo” means “happy new year.”

Wishing folks either one is nice, but make sure you’re using the one you mean.

My wife forced Aramis to be social last night because, according to my wife, she was acting like a “vicious feral rabbit” and needed to behave. Aramis also destroyed all her new toys from Santa.

It's been 3 years since I started fundraising & over 10 that I've needed medical help w/ zero hope to get better.

I'm tired. This is now increasingly urgent. Please share if you can't donate. Idk how much longer I can go on without it 💔

Yay the patient came in! They were SUPER anxious, but they came in anyway! Told them I was proud of them for being brave and coming to their appointment and I made them some tea and sat down and chatted with them for a bit until they felt less overwhelmed. Hopefully that helped!
It’s so important healthcare to make sure patients feel supported and not shamed. We had a new patient miss their appointment because they slipped up and were too ashamed to come in and they thought we’d be mad, because they’d had that experience with other providers in the past. 😢

My final review of the year is of the Southern gothic horror “On Sunday she Picked Flowers” by Yah Yah Scholfield, a story about generational trauma and breaking free.

When I was a baby Mick Jagger played peekaboo with me and I sat on his lap. He told my mom about his baby and they talked about baby stuff. My mom did not recognize him I thought he was someone she went to school with. Don’t know if that counts as minor, but I have no memory of it.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

My driver’s side windshield wiper broke on my way to work and I was freaking out because it’s raining a lot and I did not want to drive home in the dark, in the rain, with one working windshield wiper. But my amazing wife drove to my job and fixed my wiper for me while I was working. 💜

If you live in Bristol, love horror and want to support local businesses, please consider doing some of your Christmas shopping at The Haunted Bookshop in Stokes Crofts.

You may have seen Monika at some of our events and her shop is a wonderful sanctuary for those looking to find their people.
