Telegraph corrections are fairly common these days. Here's the latest - "An article “Islamist killer wins £240,000 battle over his human rights” (Jan 2) referred to the killer as an Islamist killer. His murders were not motivated by religion. We are happy to clarify."

RefUK Ltd are probably selling them for scrap.
It’s a metaphor for what they’ll do to the whole country if they get elected.

Most importantly, Miller is wrong. Plenty of stable societies existed that did not conform to his "iron laws". Such "laws" might apply, however, to centralised, hierarchical political systems, especially those dominated by psychopaths like Stephen Miller.
"We live in a world, in the real world … that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time."

And with these words, Stephen Miller damns his soul to hell for all eternity.

I understand that warnings and requests have to come before action, but Offcom's communications [exclusively on X!] are absurd, submitted as they are while the deepfake porn continues to be churned out at pace, making it obvious that absolutely no steps have been taken.
I have a hunch that if you or I were running a website doing this the "urgent contact" would involve door rams and handcuffs so I struggle to see why it can't be slightly more pugnacious than this.
Ofcom, which enforces the UK's Online Safety Act, says it is aware of "serious concerns" about Grok undressing people including children on X

“We have made urgent contact with X and xAI to understand what steps they have taken to comply with their legal duties to protect users in the UK," it says

🚨TODAY Keir Starmer’s Labour government will have an opportunity to end one of the most shocking, shameful and monumental injustice’s of the past half century - the #IPPscandal.

I urge peers from all parties to vote for the amendment tabled by Lord Thomas if it goes to a vote. No excuses

Will he take it?

I’m old enough to remember being assured the people of Iraq & Afghanistan would “greet us as liberators”, too.

Turns out when you overthrow someone else’s gov, there’s a ton of people who won’t be pleased. MAGAts would do exactly this if the tables were turned.

The British army suffered almost half as many casualties in their 6-year attempt to suppress the Haitian revolution as they did in the entire 12 years of Napoleonic wars (and the Haitians saw off both the French, British and Spanish armies)

One thing I miss about the pre-Amazon shopping is that, before a business trip to London, I'd ask family members if there was anything they wanted me to buy there, because there were some things you could only buy in the capital. Sounds mad now.

There’s a phrase, “don’t ask for permission, ask for forgiveness“. It means act first. Nato needs to act first and send forces to Greenland to protect them. I’m 99% certain that trump’s regime will back off if it becomes clear that they’ll have an actual fight on their hands.

I could have told Starmer that crawling around Trump and licking his boots would signal to him only the weakness of the UK.

Now that has not worked, Starmer, what is your plan B?

And timidity is no longer an option.

Not against a bully.

Even Starmer must realise the time for appeasement has gone

UK must switch from appeasement to standing up against the bully - as it did on invasion of Poland in 1939

Trade sanctions against the US. Notice to US military bases…

Only real consequences from UK and its allies will stop the US bully

- Amazon
- Meta
- Tesla
- Google
- Xitter
Instant impact with minimal loss of tax revenue and jobs. Plus the message gets delivered to the right people.
