In the playtest, some of the crew’s claims have a unique structure, like the Utopians descend deeper and deeper into darkness (and by extension the claims map) and the Dealers have different tracks for different aspects of selling their product. It’s a really cool design space to play in

I’m in the process of writing a new ship for Scum and Villainy, a pirate/scavenger type called the Kraken, and the really hard part is coming up with opportunities that aren’t just “here’s a fun kind of ship for you to rob.” I gotta watch more space pirate nonsense to steal ideas from
