so do all who live to see such times
Of all the people involved in this, we know for sure that Tom Homan *can* do this in a non-fascist way and is choosing evil. We know this because he did the same job for Obama.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

If this was already a fascist country, Springsteen would be in custody for this. It happens routinely in Russia.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

IDK why right-wingers keep bringing up Obama's record deportations, it just shows that if you wanted to have a conservative immigration policy without partisan militias occupying cities and gunning people down in the streets you could do it and a lot of americans would be fine with it

Why aren't we interviewing deportees like this every day? Rural Honduras is poor, but it's not some 19th century technology zone. People still have phones and email!
"I kept telling them "the girl was born here". They didn't care, they picked up the child, just put a jumper on her and told me to get into the car with her.”

Oh no, we're doing this now. If you want new people to show up, you can't lecture them about showing up wrong.

This thing has had such good momentum. Let's not collapse it.
The moral disgrace comes from refusing to recognize that those bearing little or no similarity to us deserve respect, care, and defense simply because they are human — regardless of whether we might suffer the same fate.

3D printed vuvuzela #1 is finished, but this particular model involves way too much lip buzzing, like a trombone. You'd be chapped in minutes in Minnesota winter. Going to try others.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

Adding to this, it's possible that someone was right (or wrong) about this by accident. People have been calling their opponents "fascists" for a hundred years. George Orwell wrote a whole essay about it.

Those people were right this time, but they were also wrong all the other times.
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?

The attention these tweets are getting, compared with the legions of Christians who have been putting themselves on the line in Minneapolis, is typical. Disappointing, but typical.
Joel Berry, Managing Editor of the Babylon Bee, wrote this AM that: “If we lose heart every time a feral Communist commits suicide by cop, our country isn’t gonna make it *** I’m so beyond letting my Christian compassion get weaponized by Leftist death-worshippers…” (His “Christian compassion”) 1/

Anecdata:

—Life in DC in recent months has been shadowed by omnipresence of National Guard. But almost no one "hates" the NG members, or blames them. They're doing their best, mostly ramping down rather than amping up tensions.

—People around the US fear and *hate* ICE and CBP cowards. For cause.

Killing a disarmed and surrendering enemy, even one who was recently attacking you, is a war crime. We’d be safer with the National Guard.
