Once again I want to say that this recent trend in US Healthcare where a random company associated with a random provider but no direct link to the in-person hospital system sends us a bill by e-mail weeks or months later with no details about the provided services is just going to cause scams.

Ask your agent to request anti-AI provisions in the contract/push back against clauses that require them to ok AI use! We kept saying “authors will hate this” and being told “nobody’s complained”

Today I helped someone at the library who didn't know you could borrow items for free. She gave me her library card and $40 to pay for the books. Was delighted when I said everything is free to use.

Instead of going "gee, it turns out DOGE didn't save money or make government more efficient" months after they finished, how about treating obvious lies as lies in the moment, rather than credulously presenting the unqualified lie in headlines for long enough to give the public a false impression?
The mistake, of the NYT & everyone else, was in participating in the obvious bad faith lie that this lawless authoritarianism was about saving money & reducing the debt. We could have just all acted like adults, & read the laws & constitution, & treated it like the criminal enterprise it always was.
