- There is no algorithm. Liking is nice but does little to boost visibility. If you like it, share it.
- Conversely, the only way for garbage to spread is by sharing it. Don't hate-share to dunk.

im realizing that companies calling "anything a computer does" "AI" isn't ignorance or marketing, it's them figuring out that calling something "AI" is currently a get-out-of-liability-free card
recently at an automotive industry conference and the way every CEO swapped between obsessing about how engineers will be replaced by "prompt engineers", and justifying confidence in "AI" by referring to "basically anything a computer does" as "AI," was terrifying

One thing I've learned is that it's okay to talk about the basics and people really appreciate it when you do a good job explaining them.
What's "basic" to me isn't to them (and vice versa) so trade knowledge freely and make us all better.

I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

Jail Voting Soars in Colorado After State Mandates Polling Places in County Lockups
Local officials had claimed they were already giving detained people ballot access, but the first-in-the-nation mandate forced their hands and increased turnout across the state.

I think this is because folks who don't have passion for a craft have no idea that venting is a major part of the process.
I can't NOT write. That doesn't mean I'm not going to get mad at it from time to time. I'm fucking obsessed with this, so much so that it can elate AND frustrate me.

Sometimes I wonder if our many years of jokes about writers hating writing and doing anything but writing, etc, have convinced people that the writing part is the hurdle and the goal is just to have a thing in hand. But I am here to tell you: the writing is the best part. The act is the thing.

Know this, @schumer.senate.gov — if you cave, we will not rest until you are primaried and wrested from your seat. When kids on SNAP aren’t being fed, we’re even more hungry for justice. New York has shown you the people’s power just days ago. You *could* join with us, still, and do the right thing.
