U.S. military posture in the Caribbean is costing billions, according to a Bloomberg analysis. The White House has said the operations around Venezuela didn’t cost taxpayers extra, because the forces involved are already deployed.

What does that last part mean?

“…electing the right leaders to lead this country, through the days that we have.”

Off to C-SPAN to view the longer segment because this is disturbing.
Kristi Noem: "When it gets to Election Day, we've been proactive to make sure we have the right people voting, electing the right leaders to lead this country."

More on Ukraine's new national hero being thrown out of the #WinterOlympics
I have 2 videos to share from Vladyslav himself.

The IOC claimed the Skeleton rider refused to compromise. But Heraskevych gave his terms, PROVED discrimination by the IOC, and it was they that refused to compromise.

The IOC said that it offered "compromises", allowing Heraskevych to show the helmet during training and in the media zone.

Ukraine's squad points out there was no ban on the US skating team remembering teammates killed in an air disaster.

Incidentally, the IOC President Kirsty Coventry says she personally went to the event, but that Heraskevych was not prepared to compromise.

The Zimbabwean, who is seen as pro-Russian, would do well to remember the athletes murdered by Russia had no opportuinity to compromise.

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

“He can’t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’” Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

Visited the Nevada Test Site in 2019 on a history conf tour.
Dumb in hindsight ideas tested include:
-atomic mortar
-large scale excavation for the hext Panama Canal
-survivable? houses, bridges, bank vaults
-nuclear explosions that blew the wrong way

And countless troops exposed to radiation.
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

86% of imigrants arrested had NOT been charged nor convicted of violent crimes.

~40% only had the crime of overstaying their visa or entering illegally. That includes those brought to America as children who are now productive members of society. We need bipartisan support for path to citizenship!
Less than 14% of nearly 400,000 immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in President Trump's first year back in the White House had charges or convictions for violent criminal offenses, according to an internal Department of Homeland Security document obtained by CBS News.
Less than 14% of those arrested by ICE in Trump's 1st year back in office had violent criminal records, document shows
The official DHS statistics, which had not been previously reported, provide the most detailed look yet into who ICE has arrested during the Trump administration's crackdown.

This librarian agrees. Take a minute or so to verify - find a published news article, check the bona fides of the person, be skeptical.

If you aren’t sure, don’t share.
Periodic reminder: When someone shares news with "BREAKING" and they aren't a journalist and don't link to a news story, it's probably not the best source for people to be resharing. It might be trying to get rage reposts, even! Better to find a news article that is accurately describing facts.
